 Wreck of The Erie Belle boiler 
With recent rainfall and melting snow, the boiler of The Erie Belle boiler is now fully visible on shore. Located on Boiler Beach Road, the infamous boiler is a local landmark. In 1883, The Erie Belle, Great Lakes steam ship, sank after its boiler exploded, while attempting to rescue another ship in distress. The boiler remains in the lake to this day and depending on lake levels, is either hidden below the water or completely exposed. (Liz Small photo) 

 Knock your sox off 
Several businesses around Kincardine have set up displays in support of Community Living Kincardine and District (CLKD) Lots of Sox campaign, to raise awareness for World Down Syndrome Day. Pictures and videos of decorated windows were submitted to CLKD for judging before the Golden Sock Award is presented to the winning display on March 21. (Liz Small photo)
