Volunteers needed at Crime Stoppers

Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce is looking for reliable, self-motivated volunteers for its organization. Individuals interested in sitting on the board of directors, as well as casual volunteers, are welcome to apply.
Board members manage the Crime Stoppers program and attend board meetings, held once each month. They may be involved with fundraising, promotions, finance and approval of rewards. They plan and attend fundraising events, including the annual golf tournament in June. They also attend promotional events in the community. The time commitment required is approximately four hours per month.
Casual volunteers assist the board members with the execution of the events listed above, and the time commitment varies based on the number of events they wish to participate in.
Crime Stoppers is a community-based program that combines the resources of the public, media and police, in a combined effort to solve crime in local neighbourhoods.
