The 20th annual Women’s Triathlon was held at Station Beach on Saturday, July 9.
Despite the beautiful weather, the water was deemed too cold for swimmers by Triathlon Canada’s standards, making the event a duathlon.
Winning the triathlon with a time of 52 minutes and 10 seconds was Victoria Sandre of Southhampton. Following her were Nicole Murphy and Laura Sandre.
Winning the duathlon with a time of 49 minutes and five seconds was Jessie Nusselder of Port Elgin. Following her were Melissa Doolaar and Sarah Saunders.
Winning the triathlon relay were Jane Barton, Michelle Campbell and Natalia Murray (The Perth Oxford Ladies of Embro). They were followed by the Bruce Power team of Kingston and the Court Hipsters of London.
Winning the duathlon relay were Zara Hartwick, Erin Murray and Abigail Swann (The Code Blue team). Following them were Liz Beemers and Chelsey Matthews (The Beemers).
