A baseball game at Connaught park put on by the Kincardine Cubs is back this Saturday. Mike unfortunately passed away a number of years ago when he was a member of the Cubs. It is always a really special day put on by the Cubs to honor Mike.
Dave Robinson and Ryan Enright are organizing the event this year. All proceeds from the silent auction and bar will go to Huron Shores Hospice. It is always a family friendly event with food and refreshments being served all day.
There is a Bantam game vs Exeter at 12-noon. The Cubs play Sarnia at 3pm and the Juniors-Cubs-split squad will play Hanover Senior team at 7pm.
The Rob Davidson U11-Mosquito tournament is also on at Connaught park this weekend
Our local Kincardine U11 team takes a 10-1 record in to play this weekend. They play Saugeen Shores at 4pm Friday and Guelph at 630 on Friday. On Saturday they play Walkerton at noon and Listowel at 6. Playoffs will be on Sunday. Greg Stepaniak is the Head Coach. Stephen Connell, Ryan Dudgeon and Ryan Frazer also coach the U11 team.
Our Junior team split a doubleheader in Wyoming on Saturday losing 12-8 and winning 12-0.
It should be a great weekend to watch our local teams play and raise some money for the Huron Shores Hospice.
