SHARON PICARD
Sharon Gail Picard (née Kelch) passed away on Jan. 8, 2022, at the age of 78, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by loved ones, who will continue to honour her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Sharon was a kind and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was born and raised in Sarnia and never lost her love for the area, returning often to visit family and friends as well as to stop for fries under the bridge.
Sharon was a dedicated wife and mother first and foremost. After many years devoted to her family, Sharon enjoyed working at the Co-op in Kincardine and then working as a cashier at Cameron’s until she and Dick retired together to enjoy their winters in Florida. Sharon loved to golf and socialize with family and friends. The simplest of pleasures in life brought joy to Sharon. She loved and touched her family deeply.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband Richard “Dick” Picard; son Jeff Picard and his wife Jennifer; daughter Michelle King; and her four grandchildren: Max and Kelli King, Mary McKellar and Jori Picard.
Predeceased by her parents Gordon and Edith (née Towns) Kelch, and son-in-law Kevin King.
Fondly remembered by her sister Linda Forrest and husband Terry, brother Steve Kelch and wife Marg, special cousin Janet Kelch and late husband Lyn as well as by many cousins, nieces, nephews and members of the Picard, Kelch, Archer and King families.
A private family celebration to honour Sharon’s life will be held this spring.
Final resting place: Kincardine Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kincardine Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice. Cremation has taken place. Portrait and memorial online at www.daveylinklaterfuneralhome.com.
The family would like to thank the Kincardine and Owen Sound hospital staff members who took great care of Sharon.
“So when tomorrow starts without me,
don’t think we’re far apart,
for every time you think of me,
I’m right here in your heart.”
