SHARON JAN NICHOLSON
It is with sadness we announce the passing of Sharon Jan Nicholson, peacefully at the Huron Shores Hospice in Tiverton on Thursday, June 20, 2024.
Loving partner of Joe MacDonald of Kincardine and former wife of the late Bryan Nicholson. Loving mother to Erin (Moe Borris) of Cornwall and Blayne Nicholson (Opal) of Kincardine. Caring grandmother of Betheny and Jayme Pilgrim, of Cornwall; and Bryan, Jada and Jet Nicholson, of Kincardine.
Sister-in-law of Sharon, and aunt of Matthew (Kathleen), both of Cornwall.
Predeceased by her brother Wayne and her parents Arthur and Pansy (Hehir) Antoine.
Jan grew up in Cornwall and always enjoyed the water. She made Kincardine home with Bryan and her children. For the last 23 years, Jan and Joe have enjoyed time on Lake Huron with the fishing charter and many drives to the lake. The lake was a peaceful place for Jan.
Jan was most happy knitting, crocheting, quilting and cooking for family and friends. Her dogs were always by her side. She was always happy to share her beautiful creations with family and friends. Jan was well-known in Kincardine as a bus driver at Ross Young Bus Lines in Tiverton for more than 30 years. She had much joy and pride in her work. She touched the lives of many young children. Jan’s thoughtfulness and care of others will truly be missed.
Jan’s life will be honoured by a private graveside service.
If so desired, memorial donation to the Huron Shores Hospice would be greatly appreciated as expression of sympathy to Jan’s family.
