ROGER CLAYTON
Roger John Clayton, formerly of Kincardine, passed peacefully at the Chartwell Westmount Long-Term Care Residence in Kitchener on Monday, Dec. 28, 2020, at the age of 77.
Beloved husband of the late Micheline (née Theroux) Clayton.
Loving father to Michael (Anna) Clayton of Kitchener and Louise Clayton of Milton.
Dear grandpa to Noah, Violeta and William.
He will be missed by the many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that knew him.
Predeceased by his parents John Clayton and Alice May Brown.
Roger was born in Hamilton, Ontario and settled in Kincardine where he worked at Bruce Power until his retirement. Roger spent many years as an active member of the Lake Huron Fishing Club as well as Groundhog Divers II. Roger loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, birdwatching, travelling and John Wayne movies. He also had a passion for hockey and football.
A special thank you to all the nurses and personal support workers who cared for Roger during the past year.
Due to provincial restrictions, a private family service was held on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020.
Final resting place: Kincardine Cemetery.
