RICHARD ELLIOTT SR.

Richard George Elliott Senior, of Walkerton and formerly of Teeswater, passed away at South Bruce Grey Health Centre in Chesley on Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, at the age of 78.
Loving husband of Joan Irving-Elliott.
Dear father of Richard and Barb Elliott of Teeswater, Debbie and Murray Collins of Teeswater, Norman and Amancia Elliott of Labrador City, Mike Elliott and Cindy McDermid of Kincardine, Andrew and Cathy Irving of Shallow Lake, and Ian and Patricia Irving of Brampton.
Missed by his grandchildren: Jennifer (Neil), Bill, Joe (Staci), Heather (Jody), Tom (Cecila), Kevin (Jodi), Matthew (Sarah), Andrew (Mick), Gleeza (Edgie), R-Jay (Janine), Tyler (Crystal), Lindsay, Makaylah, Addison, Aidan and Kaitlin, and 21 great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by his parents Robert and Gertrude (née Turner) Elliott, his first wife Margaret Elliott (née Andress) (2014), and his siblings Jim Ziegler, Don Ziegler, Butch Elliott and Geraldine Grace Elliott.
One of his many accomplishments was tearing down the old grandstand in Teeswater to then build the one standing there today.
Following Richard’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
A private family celebration of life was held on Saturday, Nov.13, 2021.
Memorial donations to the Lake Huron Fishing Club or the Chesley Hospital Foundation were appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
