Obituary – Patricia Chester

PATRICIA CHESTER

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Chester at home surrounded by the love of her family on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at the age of 81.
Beloved wife of Ian Chester.
Loving mother of Vicky and Emma Chester (Eugene).
Proud Nan of Ella, Addie, Liam, Oliver and Grace.
Fondly remembered by her brother John Murphy, her sister Janet Barnett and by her nieces, nephews and extended family.
Predeceased by her parents Violet Carrol and Denis O’Callaghan, and her brothers David and Peter Murphy.
Patricia immigrated to Canada from England in 1981 with Ian and their children. Together they started a new life that would bring them to Kincardine, where they settled and embraced their community. Not afraid of work, during her life Patricia took on different jobs – receptionist, kitchen help and even switchboard operator. She was clever and loved to learn new things.
Always well put together, Patricia was funny, quick-witted and sharp as a tack. She loved people and had a way of connecting with them. She listened and talked and, before you knew it, you had told Patricia your life story and had gained a new friend along the way. Patricia touched the lives of many during her journey. She will be remembered by all of those who knew her.
Private family service. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Patricia’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
