MARY COOK

Mary Frances Cook (née MacLeod) of Ripley passed away at the Kincardine hospital on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025, at the age of 89.
Beloved wife of the late Graham Llewelyn Cook.
She was born in Kincardine on March 27, 1935 to the late Helen and Malcolm MacLeod.
Dear mother of Donna MacLennan of Ripley, Cameron & Brenda of Glammis, Kevin & Cathy of Amberley and David & Veronika of Ripley.
Greatly missed by her grandchildren: Chris, Dan, Mellissa, Craig, Heather, Cristy, Chad, Jessie, Jean, Graham, Kevin Jr., Emily and Robert. Also survived by 36 great-grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren, sister-in-law Audrey Stephenson of Belgrave and brother-in-law Austin “Joe” Cook of Oakville. Predeceased by her daughter Helen Kerr.
She was a lifelong hobby farmer and lover of cats. A true Scotswoman until the end.
A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at the Ripley Legion on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025 from 12-4 p.m. We are asking everyone to wear red to the Legion – just like her fieriness, red was the colour she loved the most.
Spring interment Ripley Cemetery.
