Obituary – Lorne Antonette

LORNE ANTONETTE

Lorne Samuel Antonette passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre – Kincardine on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at the age of 93.
Beloved husband of Dorothy Antonette (née Heys).
Loving father of the late Robert Antonette (1991).
Lorne was born in Guelph on Aug. 23, 1928 to Michael and Emily Antonette. His working career started with the Canadian Pacific Railway, on the Trenton to Smith Falls line. When he retired, he was working at Douglas Point in Tiverton.
Lorne also raised horses. He was a standard breed trainer and driver at the local racetracks. Lorne loved new cars, horses and the outdoors. Both hunting and fishing were activities he enjoyed. Lorne was an excellent woodcarver, focusing his creative skills on horses and birds.
Lorne was a generous, helpful man and a good friend. He loved dogs and always had a little treat in his pocket for his canine friends. Lorne will be fondly remembered by his friends and those who knew him.
Cremation has taken place.
A celebration of Lorne’s life will take place, at a later date.
Final resting place: Kincardine Cemetery.
