LILA GUIKEMA

Lila Shirley Guikema (née Stewart) of Kincardine passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre – Kincardine, on Monday, March 13, 2023, in her 87th year.
Beloved wife of the late Anco Guikema (2019).
Cherished mother of Joyce (Dave) MacKay of Kincardine and Connie Ross (Martin Needham) of Kincardine.
Loving grandmother of Nathan MacInnes (Angela), Jasmine Farrell (Craig Cook), Joel Welch (Kristen MacGregor), Sarah Landgrebe (Matt), Sasha Ross, Adam MacKay and Jason MacKay; and great-grandmother of Deter Nowak, Mikayla and Kaytlyn MacInnes.
Dear sister of June Gilchrist, Bill (Carol) Stewart, Bernice (Gordon) Campbell, Ray (Sharon) Stewart and Dave (Christiane) Stewart. Fondly remembered by brother-in-law Peter Guikema, sister-in-law Johanna (Howie) Ginderich, along with many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Lawrence and Mabel (née Russell) Stewart, daughter Elizabeth Welch, infant children Paul and Marilyn, brother Delbert Stewart, brother-in-law Bob Gilchrist and sister-in-law Deane Guikema.
A funeral service to honour Lila’s life was held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home in Kincardine on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 1 p.m., followed by a casual come and go reception in the funeral home lounge from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Spring interment Kincardine Cemetery.
