LEROY “ROY” ELLIOTT
Leroy “Roy” McIntosh Elliott, of Huron Township, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024, at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre – Kincardine, at age 95.
Lovingly remembered by his partner of 60 years, Lois Hackett, and by his family: Shelly (Mike) Pollock, Blair (Laura Comrie) Pollock, Lana (Brendan) Tanner and Jessie Tanner.
Survived by in-laws Evelyn Elliott, Bill and Karen Fry, Ruth Slesser, Carole Ehrich and several nieces, nephews and greats.
Predeceased by his parents, his brother Jack, his sisters Jean and husband Gordon Farrell, Eileen and husband Doug MacDonald and Marj and husband George Johnson, and by nephews Doug and Christopher Farrell.
Roy lived 95 years where he was born and raised, enjoying his life as a successful beef and cash crop farmer. Trips to the western provinces as a cattle dealer were always a passion and, in retirement, attending or watching rodeos on TV continued to be a highlight.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, with a private graveside service being held.
Interment Kincardine Cemetery.
