Obituary – Keith Armstrong

KEITH ARMSTRONG

Keith Armstrong of Ripley, a veteran of the Second World War, passed away peacefully at Huron Shores Hospice on Monday, June 3, 2019, in his 96th year.
A proud veteran of the Second World War, he served in the Air Force as an Air Frame Mechanic, returning home in 1946. Keith will be missed by his many friends and comrades at the Kincardine and Ripley Legions.
He will be missed by his son Jerry Armstrong, grandson Keith Armstrong, great-grand daughter Heather Armstrong in British Columbia, step-daughter Charlene Gomes and his sister Bernice Hartwick. He will also be remembered by three generations of his large extended family as well as by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by his brother Myles Armstrong and his sister Audrey Currie.
A Royal Canadian Legion service took place on Monday, June 10, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home in Kincardine. The visitation followed from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a memorial service to celebrate Keith’s life at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Marsha Roberts was the officiant.
Final resting place: Kincardine Cemetery.
