Obituary – Kay Robson

KATHRYN ROBSON

Kathryn “Kay” Isobel Robson (née MacKinnon) of Kincardine passed away peacefully at the South Bruce Grey Hospital-Kincardine, on Saturday, March 21, 2020, at the age of 76.
Beloved wife of Dan Robson.
Loving mother of David (Joy) Robson of Burlington and Heather Robson of Toronto.
Dear sister of Don (Barbara) MacKinnon of Paris.
Forever remembered by her aunt Alberta Smith of Tiverton and brother-in-law Michael Christopher of Kincardine. Missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Predeceased by her parents John and Alma (née Hunter) MacKinnon and her siblings Jean Christopher and Eoin (Janet) MacKinnon.
Kay was born in Kincardine on Sept. 17, 1943, the third of four children. After moving to Georgetown, she became an obstetrics nurse at Georgetown Hospital, where she devoted 25 years to caring for infants and children, before returning with her family to her hometown in 1989.
A lifelong searcher of collectables – for herself and others – she loved the treasure hunt of garage and auction sales. Kay was an avid theatre goer and attended many musicals, from local theatre to Toronto and Broadway. Kay loved spending time with her immediate and extended family and always looked forward to the annual summer picnic and Christmas clan gatherings. Mom, we will miss playing cards with you; euchre, Frustration and poker will never be the same.
In honour of Kay, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
