JIM MacTAVISH

James “Jim” MacTavish of Kincardine passed away on June 26, 2022 at the Kincardine hospital at the age of 82.
He was the beloved husband of Marjorie (née Stanley) for 62 years.
He was born in Huron Township on Dec. 26, 1939 to the late Clara (Hamilton) and James MacTavish.
Dear father of Jeff & Valerie of Kincardine and Michele & Bob Hunter of Port Elgin.
Missed by his grandchildren: Shannon & Martin, Erin & Carl, Lauren & Andrew, Nicole & Liam, and James. Great-Grandpa of Ian.
Also survived by his sister Peg Thuell, brother-in-law Eugene Walden, and sister-in-law Evylene MacTavish.
Predeceased by his son Jamie, brother Allan MacTavish and sisters Marion Lowry and Evelyn Walden.
Visitation was held at MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home in Ripley from 2-5 p.m. on Wednesday June 29, 2022 with a Legion service at 1:30 p.m. and a Lions service at 5 p.m. The funeral service was conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2022, with Betty Elliott officiating.
Interment at the Ripley Cemetery.
