Helen Christina (née Roppel) Reist of Tiverton passed away at Grey Bruce Health Services – Owen Sound, with family by her side, on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at the age of 91.
Beloved wife of Edgar Reist for 69 years.
Dear mother of Wayne (Marilyn Reburn) Reist of Underwood, Brian (Mary Montgomery) Reist of Holland Landing, Sharon Reist (John Kimlin) of London, David (Judy Dixon) Reist of Chute-a-Bloudeu, Raymond (Barb McEwen) Reist of Kinburn and Arlene (Sven Frackelton) Reist of Sarasota, Florida.
Remembered by her grandchildren: Julie (Mike) Kruiderink, Kevin Reist, Nicholas Reist, Ben Reist, Christine Reist, Michael Reist, Andrew Zeitz and Eric Reist and six great-grandchildren.
Also missed by her in-laws and the extended Reist family.
Predeceased by her parents, Milton and Frieda (née Rock) Roppel.
Following Helen’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
Final resting place: Sanctuary Park Cemetery, Port Elgin.
