HELEN BARKWELL

Helen Barkwell of Kincardine passed away at the Kincardine hospital, with loved ones at her side, on Jan. 20, 2023. She was 94 years old.
Helen was the beloved wife of the late Frank Barkwell, who predeceased her in 2008.
Helen was born on Nov. 8, 1928 in Goderich to her late parents, Myrtle (Begley) and Oliver Smith. Also predeceased by her sister Marjorie (Stewart) Brook.
She is survived by her brother Wes (Margaret) Smith of Ripley.
Dear aunt of John (Rosalind) Brooks of Owen Sound, Linda (Ben) Beishuizen of Ripley, Susan (Fred) Doupe of Kincardine, Rick Smith (Linda) of Ripley, Mary-Margaret Smith (Holly) of Barrie, Barb (Don) Murray of Kinloss Township, and many great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home in Ripley from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023, prior to the funeral service which will be conducted at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ruth McLean officiating. Organist is Karen Martin.
Spring interment at Ripley Cemetery.
