Obituary – Gladys Murray


Gladys Adelaide “Benny” Murray (née MacGregor) of Kincardine passed away, surrounded by the love of her family, at Huron Shores Hospice on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at age 90.
Cherished wife of the late Raymond “Ray” Murray, who predeceased her on Sept. 2, 2017.
Loving mother of Shirley Crossley, of Kincardine; Sharon McGarvey (Chris), of Kincardine; and Brian Murray (Colleen), of Dorset.
Dear grandmother of Michael Crossley (Katrina), Daniel Crossley, Ryan McGarvey (Brittany), Andrew McGarvey (Beth), Patrick McGarvey, Courtney Murray and Liam Murray.
Fondly remembered by her great-grandchildren: Brooke, Paisley, Olivia, Kate, Maddy and Grayson.
Also survived by her siblings Marion MacLeod, Sam MacGregor and Shirley Colquhoun; her sisters-in-law June McGregor and Edna Williams; and by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents, Norman and Annie (née McLeod) MacGregor; daughter-in-law Tammi Keggenhoff; siblings Donna Howard (Jack) and Mort McGregor; and in-laws Donald MacLeod, Joan MacGregor, Robert Colquhoun and Bud Williams.
A private graveside service to honour Gladys’ life was held at the Ripley Cemetery on Saturday, June 12, 2021, with Ann Maycock officiating.
