ELIZABETH RAMSAY

Elizabeth “Betty” Marie Ramsay, of Okotoks, AB, passed away on March 10, 2025, at age 93.
She was born in Kincardine in 1931 to Bill and Edna Hall.
Betty married George in Kincardine in 1952. Raising three children, they travelled throughout Canada for work before settling in FlinFlon, AB.
Betty is survived by her husband of 73 years, George; children Vicki and Steve (Karla); grandchildren Carmen (Darren) Ward, Justin (Brandi) Moore, Bill Moore, Brandon (Raychel) Moore, Chad Wiggins and Brooke Ramsay and several great-grandchildren.
Also mourning her loss is sister Ava MacKenzie, of Kincardine; sister-in-law Marion Hall, and many nephews, nieces and long-time friends whom she cherished.
Predeceased by infant son Tommy, daughter Debbie, her parents, siblings Audrey, Maurice, Laverne, Eric and Wayne; and in-laws Tom and Mary, Ron, Bette, and Jack Goodman.
Betty volunteered with the FlinFlon Junior Rifle Club, the Hospital Auxiliary, Willowpark Curling Club, Al-Anon and the SPCA. Her homes were welcoming places with beautiful yards and handcrafted décor. She will be remembered for her kindness, her witty sense of humor, her love and laughter. She will certainly be missed, but the memories of a life well-lived by loving others is what will sustain us.
