Her family and home were the focus of her life. She was a proud mother and even prouder grandmother. She always cherished her times spent with her children and grandchildren. She was a true hockey mom, always willing to transport players to and from hockey games. Eleanor enjoyed curling, playing darts, snowmobiling, cards, camping and later in life took up playing golf with her husband. She will be missed and never forgotten.
Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2023 at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home in Kincardine, followed by the funeral service to honour Eleanor’s life at 1 p.m., with Rev. Gord Dunbar officiating.
Eleanor was laid to rest beside her husband in the Kincardine Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce or the Heart and Stroke Foundation appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
