DONALD “DOC” McLEOD
Donald “Doc” McLeod, of Kincardine, passed away on Sept. 15, 2024 at the Kincardine Hospital. He was 87 years old.
Left to mourn are his beloved wife of 64 years, Johanna (née Scott), son Donald and his wife Kirsten Van Gent of Ripley and his two grandsons, Daniel McLeod and Dustin Richard.
Also survived by his brother John and his wife Maureen McLeod of Fergus.
Doc is predeceased by his son Ken (2010) and his sister Sheila (Steve) Shisko.
Doc was a sports enthusiast. There wasn’t a sport he didn’t like. From spring ‘til fall you would find him at the golf course, and in the winter months he was at the curling club. He was also highly involved in the Bridge Club. An accountant by trade, Doc owned and operated three businesses over the course of his life. The last business he ran was the Donut Dock with the help of his sons Ken and Don. If you ever met Doc out for a walk, he would likely have one of his loved dogs at his side, and he would be eager to find a way to make a short story longer by filling in every detail to paint you a vivid picture of his exploits! He will be missed.
Arrangements entrusted to MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home in Ripley.
A graveside service will be conducted at the Ripley Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024. A reception will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion – Ripley Branch.
