DON FISCHER

Mr. Don Fischer passed peacefully at his home on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020, at 72 years of age.
Beloved husband of Mary Fischer and the late Jeanne Fischer.
Loving father of Laurie Raynard and Steven Fischer and stepfather to Shannon Gregory (Chris) and the late Shelley Tighe.
Proud Papa to Alex (Phil), Josh, Emma, Brielle, Ty and Owen.
Caring brother to Murray (Connie), Rae (Nancy), Mary Anne (Brian), and Nancy (John). Brother-in-law to Bob (Theresa), Don (Cathy), Bill (Brenda) and Chrissie, and a wonderful uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, Mary and Hartley Fischer.
Special friend to Shirley and Vern. Don will be greatly missed by his dog Macie and Sadie the cat.
Don enjoyed his time at the cottage on Lake Huron where he spent countless hours working on his gardens. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed a few rum and cokes in the evenings.
Private visitation, by invite only due to COVID-19 restrictions, was held at the Riverside Funeral Home, 401 Albert Street, Brussels, Ontario. A graveside funeral service was held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2020, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Ethel, with social distancing guidelines observed at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make donations in memory of Don and as expressions of sympathy are asked to consider the Shelleyand Maggie Angel Fund through the Queen Street Veterinary Services in Kincardine. Cards of sympathy and donations may also be sent to Box 340, Brussels, ON N0G 1H0.
