DANIEL HANKS III

Thomas Daniel Hanks III, age 85, peacefully passed away on July 14, 2024, at Chester, N.S.
Born in Toronto, he was the son of Thomas Hanks II and Frances Forsey.
Tom was an avid sports fan and long-suffering supporter of the Toronto Maple Leafs. As a youth, he played on the St. Mike’s hockey team and later coached hockey and baseball in Kincardine. Tom worked as a civil maintainer for OPG for many years and even farmed for a while when he and Margot took over the family farm. He was a devoted family man, a fun-loving guy and a wicked opponent at “trivial pursuit”.
Tom is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Anne; grandchildren Dan, Jessica, Alex (Ogilvie), Rebecca, Ben, Tristian and Sarah (Baker), Shona and Hamish (Campbell); and great-grandchildren Shaleigh, Meaghan, Henry, Iris, Fern, Rachael, Georgia and William.
He is predeceased by his wife, Margot (MacKinnon); daughters Kimberley Anne and Carole Elizabeth; and granddaughter, Rachael (Baker).
