CONNIE McCORMICK

With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Connie Louise McCormick. She passed away peacefully at South Bruce Grey Health Centre – Kincardine, on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at the age of 78.
Beloved wife and best friend of Pat McCormick for 58 years.
Loving mother of Mary Lynn Young and Dave, and Dan McCormick and Kari.
Cherished and proud grandmother of Rainor, Payton, Darian, Abbey and Kole.
Survived by her sisters and brothers: Carolle Moore (Ron), Ed Jones (Gayle), Cathie Sturdy (John), Wayne Jones and Vickie Aitcheson (Ray), and brothers-in-law Larry McCormick (Judy), Don McCormick (Kathy) and Kevin McCormick (Kathleen).
Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends.
Predeceased by her son Ken McCormick, her parents Kenneth and Mary Jones, and sister-in-law Barbara MacCormack.
Connie loved her family and friends. She loved people. For Connie there was nothing she liked better than to gather family and friends for happy hour or a meal. She was a great hostess; it came naturally and easily to her and Connie loved to welcome people into her home. Connie enjoyed cooking, working in her garden, shopping and road trips.
Connie adored her grandchildren and treasured every hockey game, graduation, prom, card game and birthday celebration – so many good times.
You will be greatly missed and forever loved.
A memorial service to honour Connie’s life will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757 Princes Street, Kincardine at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 4, 2024 with Rev. Ray Luinstra officiating. A reception will be held at the Kincardine Pavilion,156 Durham Street, Kincardine from 2 to 6 p.m.
Interment Kincardine Cemetery.
