Obituary – Chauncey Jackson

CHAUNCEY JACKSON

On Oct. 8, 2020, one of the sweetest souls (who we were fortunate enough to share our lives with) passed. Chauncey Rae Jackson was a generous, kind and selfless person and her time here was much too short.
She found many ways to give to others, not just the needs of her family but including those of her community and friends. Chauncey’s many loves included paddle boarding on Lake Huron, snowshoeing and hiking, as well as a great love for animals of all kinds.
The passing of Chauncey’s husband, David Edward, on Sept. 5, 2020, has made this time even more difficult and is an unfathomable loss for their son, eight-year-old Sam.
It is because of Chauncey’s enviably positive outlook on life that we will remember her voice, hear her cajoling and admonishings – and carry on. We will love her forever.
Private family arrangements have been entrusted to the MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, 12 Queen Street, Box 248, Ripley N0G 2R0; 519-395-2969.

  1. We had the pleasure of meeting Chauncey in 2003/2004ish. She dated our son Ryan. We were drawn to her laugh and her intense interest in people. Loved hearing her stories of uni-cycling, her travels, her interests, her moms store, her family and her Airedale( can’t recall the name of that pup). Chauncey was a delight to know and we are heart broken to hear of her passing. So sorry for Sam and the loving family.
