Obituary – Charlene Martin

CHARLENE MARTIN

After a lengthy, well-fought battle, Charlene Faye Martin of Kincardine passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, at University Hospital in London on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at age 56.
Loving mother of Phillip Wilson, Samuel Wilson and Isabelle Wilson.
Missed dearly by her mother Mabel Martin, brother Thomas Martin (Kathy) and sister Deanna Martin.
Fondly remembered by her niece Stephanie Garlough (Kevin) and nephews Patrick Thompson (Kristen), Jake Martin and Cale Martin and by her grand-nieces Violet Thompson, Jasmine and Zoey Garlough and grand-nephew Jasper Thompson.
Predeceased by her father, Alan Martin.
Charlene had a love for recreation. She founded the Kincardine Klassic Gymnastics club, worked in Aquatics, taught Highland Dancing and coached various sports teams over the years.
Her greatest legacy was the love she had for her three children. She was an avid volunteer, from coaching her children’s various sports teams to being president of the Home and School Association (even after her last child completed school).
Many thanks to Dr. Sanjay Mehta for the wonderful care he gave Charlene over the past years.
Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home (757 Princes Street, Kincardine, Ont. N2Z 1Z5) from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 22, 2021. A memorial service to celebrate Charlene’s life will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 23, 2021, with Ann Maycock officiating.
