Barney Haldenby loved horses and the land. He farmed for more than 50 years, just outside of Kincardine. He enjoyed playing cards – mainly euchre and rummy. Barney was a fixer and enjoyed tinkering with motors and equipment. In his later years, Barney would ride his scooter down to the Tim Hortons to enjoy the simple pleasure of a cup of coffee with friends. Barney loved his family deeply and the words “What do ya’ know?” was something he always asked when he saw them, that will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren.
Family received friends at the Davey -Linklater Funeral Home in Kincardine, on Monday Jan. 13, 2025. Reverend Rob Hiscox as officiant.
Interment at the Kincardine Cemetery.
If so desired, memorial donations to Diabetes Canada or the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by Barney’s family.
