Obituary – Addie Cooper


Adeline “Addie” Florence Cooper (née Watts) of Kincardine passed away peacefully at Brucelea Haven in Walkerton early on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, on her 94th birthday.
Dear mother and mother-in-law of Marion (Jim) Shaw, Audrey (the late Ron) Burt, Kathy Cooper, Gordon (Katrina) Cooper, Gladys (Steve) Colwell and Ron Cooper.
Lovingly remembered by her eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by her spouse Elroy Cooper, son Lloyd Cooper, an infant daughter, her parents William and Vera (née McLeod) Watts and sister Mary Bell.
Visitation was held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home in Kincardine from 10-11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2019, followed by the funeral service at 12 noon, with Ken Craig as officiant.
Final resting place: Purdy Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the St. Matthew’s Anglican Church in Kingarf, Brucelea Haven or the Kincardine Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Portrait and memorial available online at
