DAVID EDWARD

David William Buchanan Edward of Kincardine, formerly of Goderich, passed away peacefully at his home after a long struggle with Multiple Sclerosis on Sept. 5, 2020, at the age of 45 .
David is survived by his loving and devoted wife Chauncey Jackson, their son Sam, and by his other children: Owen, Sierra and Madelyn.
Also survived by his parents Don and Linda Edward, of Goderich, and his sister Laurie (Ken Glover), of Canmore, Alberta.
In his time, David made many deep and lasting friendships and truly cherished the experiences that life offered. He had amazing inner strength and kept a great attitude and sense of humour, even as his body increasingly failed him.
He will be deeply missed by his cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews with whom he had special bonds, and remembered by the many friends and associates whose lives he touched.
David’s family would like to express sincere gratitude to Chauncey’s immediate and extended family for the love and support they have provided for many years and appreciation to Dr. Appavoo and members of the caregiving team.
His family hopes to celebrate David’s life with friends and loved ones at a future date.

  1. Thinking of all of you during such a difficult time. Dave, as I remember him from good old Holmesville PS and GDCI was always present with a big smile and those sparkling eyes. I had the pleasure of knowing Dave as a brother to a friend, friend to my brother and a father to Sierra who has chummed with my daughter. I’m sorry he had to endure the challenges that MS delivered for so long. My thoughts are with all of you during this time and I hope you’ll soon have a time to celebrate the impact he made during his life.
