North and south piers at Station Beach closed until 2024

Both the north and south piers at Station Beach will be closed until March 1, 2024, after Municipality of Kincardine Council made the decision at last week’s council meeting. Temporary barriers preventing access to both the north and south piers have been installed by staff. “Wave action on Lake Huron is at its highest over the coming months, and anyone who’s been within
site of the piers will have seen those cold winter waters crashing over them,” said Mayor Kenneth Craig. “It makes sense to close this area off.”
