Local entrepreneurs share in $36,000
By Liz Small
Three Kincardine businesses were recipients of financial, marketing and mentorship awards during the 3rd Hawks’ Nest event that took place in Owen Sound last week. The “Dragon’s Den” inspired competition saw seven entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas to the Hawks. Each Hawk committed to investing $5,000, totalling a minimum of $30,000. But after hearing the presenting entrepreneur’s pitches, negotiations resulted in $36,000 in investments.
Local business recipients were Griffin’s Sweet Sensations, Stilara and Dill Doughs.
