Last year for Explore the Bruce Adventure Passport event

The 2019 Explore the Bruce Adventure Passport will launch May 1 for the final year. Explore the Bruce, Bruce County’s visitor attraction program, has administered the Adventure Passport annually since 2005. The passport encourages locals and visitors to get off the beaten track, exploring attractions across Bruce County. Each year, unique locations are “Passport Stops” for participants to find. “The Adventure Passport has showcased many of Bruce County’s ‘hidden gems’ over the past 15 years,” Bruce County Warden Mitch Twolan said in a media release. “The program has enjoyed much success. In consultation with our stakeholders, it was concluded that it’s time to look at alternative opportunities around tourism development for Bruce County.” This year will mark the final year of the Adventure Passport.
The 15th anniversary edition focuses on local food and agriculture and runs May 1 to Oct. 31. Visitors and residents of all ages, abilities and interests are encouraged to get out and explore on foot, by car, stroller, wheelchair, bicycle or motorcycle. “It’s been a pleasure
helping participants create memories and we thank everyone who has explored the Bruce with the Adventure Passport, all of the local businesses who sponsored the program, and the volunteers who helped with administration,” Kara Van Myall, Bruce County’s director of planning and development, said. “While the program will be ending, we encourage individuals to continue to create their own adventures and keep exploring the Bruce.”
Visitors and residents can continue to connect with the Explore the Bruce team through www.explorethebruce.com and at 1-800-268-3838 to develop personalized itineraries and experiences in Bruce County. 2019 Adventure Passports can be found at Bruce County Visitor Information Centres, Bruce County Library branches, the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre, at each passport stop or online at passport.explorethebruce.com.

  1. If you are no longer doing this activity I was wondering if I could start one up in Chatham Kent. May I speak to one of your coordinators so I can see if this is possible?
