A Kincardine couple who set sail on their 36-foot motor-sailor “Pokey”, from Kincardine late last summer, have arrived at their destination of the Bahamas. Anna Goncalves and her husband, Sean Jenkins, began planning for the challenging trip a decade ago. Much preparation was required for any and all obstacles, and all kinds of weather conditions. Goncalves said the weather along the Florida coast was unusually difficult this year. (By Liz Small)
