Hospital Auxiliary donates $43,000 to Foundation

The SBGHC Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary was thrilled to present $43,000 to the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation on Nov. 23.
Their year-end meeting was held at the Ainsdale Golf Club with 38 members in attendance, as well as special guests Michael Barrett, CEO of the South Bruce Grey Health Centre; Bill Heikkila, Chair of the Board of Directors SBGHC; Becky Fair, Chair of the KCHC Foundation; and reporter Liz Dadson.
Auxiliary President Cheryl Rogers welcomed everyone and reviewed how well the Auxiliary had done with its fundraising events, exceeding expectations set at the beginning of the year.

The fundraising proceeds this year go towards purchasing a Bariatric bed, a medication fridge, two air mattresses and a Broda chair.
The final item on the agenda was the ceremonial installation of the 2023 executive, conducted by Carol Collins and Donna Mowry. The 2023 executive members are: past-presidents Pat Emmerton and Lois Dwan; president Cheryl Rogers; first vice-president Jeanne Lindsay, second vice-president Tracy Capeling, secretary Sally Lichtenberg, treasurer Wilma Manary and press reporter Liz Nurton.
