Chinnick signs with Cambridge

Dayle Chinnick is moving to Cambridge to play in the Provincial Women’s Hockey League. The league has a big footprint in Ontario as there are teams as far east as Ottawa.
Dayle is joining the Cambridge Rivulets. I just seen Dayle play once in Teeswater this past winter but I could tell she is a really talented defenseman.
Dayle started playing her minor hockey in Kincardine. The last few years she has played for Saugeen Maitland. This past winter she played for Saugeen Maitland U18 AA.
A quote from Dayle tells you how excited she is about this move. “I am really excited to be playing for the Cambridge Rivulets for the upcoming season. The team will be hitting the ice in mid-August to start practicing and gearing up for the Etobicoke Challenge Series on Labour Day Weekend. I will be billeting with a teammate and her family while attending Monsignor Doyle Catholic Secondary School for my grade 12 year. I am extremely grateful to my billet family and for the amazing development opportunities the Rivulets program has to offer. It has been great getting introduced to the players and the staff over our opening weekend and I cannot wait to see what the upcoming season brings.”
Dayle has three teammates form last year’s Saugeen’s team join her in Cambridge. Sydney Brooks from Gowanstown, Gillian Warren from Sauble Beach and Grace Vokes from Keady are playing in Cambridge this season.
The Stanley Cup final is exciting to me because of all the great Canadian players on both teams. The last few weeks have shown us it would be great to see all the great young Canadian players playing together in the Olympics. It looks like Colorado has the best team but Tampa Bay seems to have that system that could shut down a team like this. I am hoping Colorado final wins another cup with two Canadians Nathan MacKinnon and Cale Makar leading the way.
