If you’ve been involved in local minor sports in any way, watched a game or attended a tournament, chances are Derrick Burrows has had something to do with it.
After 35 years and some 350 times a year spent on the ice, Burrows has made, and continues to make, a difference in countless lives of those involved in sports.
“I get lots of thank yous from the kids at the end of the year. It’s cool later on in life, when I see them older, because now I’m the generation where I coached some of the kids and now I’m coaching their kids.”
