The Kincardine Bulldogs broke out of their scoring slump on Sunday afternoon at the Davidson Centre, with a 5-1 win over Mount Forest.

One bright spot in the first month of the season is their 17-year-old goalie Ryan Tanner. Tanner is from Kincardine and started with KMHA before going to AAA in the last few years, when he played for Grey Bruce. He has three wins, two losses and a goal- against of 2.40  and a save percentage of .917.

On Saturday night in Mitchell, against the first place team, Tanner stopped 38 of 40 shots in a 3-0 loss. Mitchell scored an empty net goal.

Sunday afternoon in Kincardine, he stopped 33 out 34 shots, to pick up the win. Steven Grant scored two goals with singles going to Ryan Litt, Carter Servais and Gavin Gibbons. Assists went to Jerrid Fossold, Litt, Bryce McFadden-two, Servais, Gavin Downs, Gibbons, Jordan Moulton and Joseph Pringle.

The Bulldogs currently sit in fifth place in the Pollock division. Bryce McFadden leads the team in scoring with seven goals and nine assists.

The Bulldogs play one game at home this coming weekend against Mitchell, on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m..

Shallow Lake cancelled their game in Ripley against the Wolves on Saturday night. Ripley goes to Clinton this Friday and Durham next Friday before playing at home on Nov. 20 against Lucknow at 7 p.m.

The PJHL is hosting its prospect games in Orillia and Norwich this season. Usually they host it in New Hamburg in October but because of the late start, they are playing two games instead of four. The North play the East on Dec.11 in Orillia and the West plays the South in Norwich on Dec. 18. Both games are at 1 p.m. The rosters will be announced next week.
