CECIL BLANCHARD

Joseph “Cecil” Blanchard passed away suddenly at his home, with family at his side, on Tuesday, July 4, 2023.
Beloved husband of Liz Blanchard (née Kears) for 46 years.
Loving father of Danielle Mullen (Brandon) and Courtney Dales (Isaac).
Proud Grandpa of Harper, Ellie, Beau and Emmett.
Cherished brother of Janice Banks (Grant) and Gerry Blanchard (Lori).
Devoted pet dad of Quincy, Lucy, Mischa and Angel.
Fondly remembered by his in-laws, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Lorraine Blanchard.
Cecil, a “quiet comedian”, was the most loving and generous husband, dad and grandpa. He had a passion for cars and motorcycles. A bit of a fixer, he would do his best and attempt to fix anything. After 44 years at Bruce Power, Cecil spent his time hanging out with his pups, drinking his tea, spending time with his beloved Liz and watching every NASCAR race that he could. Cecil touched the lives of many and he will be immensely missed by his family, friends and community.
Visitation and his memorial service was held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home in Kincardine on Monday, July 10, 2023. The funeral celebrant was Ann Maycock.
Interment Kincardine Cemetery.
