His cherished grandchildren: Cailey (Jonah), Cole, Hannah, Daniel, Evan, Lucas, Clay, Carson, Hadley, Natalie and Finn will forever remember his sense of humour and Grampa jokes.
Ron was a dear brother to siblings Eleanor Swan, Carol & Bill Stewart, Kevin & Mary Anne Tout and will be fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law Nancy Tout, Marj Tennyson & Janette McIntosh, and by many nieces and nephews.
Ron was predeceased by his parents, Fred & Ev (née Norman) Tout, brother Bob Trout, brothers-in-law Bob Swan, Bill Tennyson Sr., Norman McIntosh Jr. and grandson Jacob Davis.
Ron was born on July 20, 1948 in Kincardine. At an early age he started working at the IGA in Kincardine and then moved to manage the Wingham location. He married the love of his life, Joyce, in 1970, residing in Wingham where they started their family. Ron returned home in 1973, where he joined the family business – Kincardine Construction, which later developed into Bluewater Concrete, where Ron managed operations prior to it becoming the Kincardine location of Donegan’s Haulage & Redi Mix. Prior to retiring, he spent the next five years in various consulting and property maintenance roles with JAND Services.
Ron and Joyce built a home in Inverhuron, where their family spent 41 years together. Ron loved sitting in the backyard by his fishpond, tinkering in the yard, picnics, sunsets at the beach and riding his beloved Harley. In retirement, Ron and Joyce moved back to Kincardine. Their passion was being together, travelling to watch their grandchildren in their various sporting activities. Ron was a hard-working man of integrity whose kindness, compassion and incredible sense of humour will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A time to reminisce, laugh and honour Ron’s life was held at the Royal Canadian Legion – Branch 183 Kincardine from 1-4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 with remembrances shared at 2 p.m.
