Photo of The Week

Residents enjoyed their first taste of summer weather during the past week, as temperatures slid past the 20 degree mark, a far cry from the blustery wind and snowfall on Apr. 1. The weather was perfect for a walk along the beach or a trip to the playground. From the bottom left are Elia Mooy, Jaiella Colwell, Kenley Dawson at the top, Sedric Dawson, Sage McDonald and Lyra Dawson, all who enjoyed the climbing apparatus and the feel of warm sand between their toes. Back to school ….. Rain didn’t dampen the spirits of students returning to school after a six-month absence, with many calling out the names of friends and teachers as they entered the playground. At St. Anthony’s School, the first wave of students, with surnames A – L, arrived at school on Tuesday, Sept. 8. The students were instructed to physically distance outside and report to the balloon colour representing their class. Once the class gathered, students were escorted inside. The process was repeated on Sept. 10 for students with surnames M-Z. (Tammy Schneider photo)
