In celebration of the Point Clark Beach Association’s 75th anniversary, cottagers and year-round residents gathered for a bike parade on Aug. 1.
The rain took a break mid-morning, providing just enough time for more than 100 participants to deck out their bikes and themselves and gather at Blue Park. Participants followed a balloon-marked trail down Huron Road and finished the caravan at Lighthouse Park.
The parade was just one event the association planned, keeping in mind pandemic restrictions and everyone’s safety. The PCBA also held a golf tournament and is currently hosting an “amazing race”.
The PCBA was incorporated in 1946 and serves as the voice of property owners in Point Clark.
See this week’s edition of The Kincardine Independent for photos of the event.
