Landfill reopened May 11

The Kincardine Waste Management Centre and Landfill (KWMC) re-opened to the public on May 11, with new restrictions in place. The Bruce Township landfill will continue to be closed until further notice.
Staff will be posted at the landfill, and will be monitoring the number of vehicles on site. No more than five vehicles will be permitted in the landfill at one time. Curbside garbage and recycling collection items will not be accepted at the KWMC and residents are encouraged to continue to use curbside services.
The compost and yard waste disposal sites that have been located at Connaught Park in Kincardine and at the Tiverton Sports Complex will remain open until June 2020 and residents should continue to use those temporary sites.
Cardboard and film plastics bins are located at the Bruce Avenue cardboard depot and at the Tiverton Library.
Payment at the landfill must be made by debit or credit card. Cash will not be accepted.
Users are reminded to continue to practice physical distancing while at any of the facilities. Signs will be posted. KWMC staff reserve the right to deny access to the facility. Please refer to the website at www.kincardine.ca/en/livinghere/garbage-and-recycling.aspx for further details.
The landfill will be open to the public on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9 a.m.to 3 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. until noon.
