Lego League competition held in Kincardine
Seven teams from Kincardine and London with students in grades five to eight, faced off at the FIRST Lego
League Challenge competition held at Kincardine District Seniors School on the weekend. Teams were tasked
with creating a robot using Lego bricks, and programmed to perform a variety of challenges. The top two teams
from the event will head to western provincials in January. The event was sponsored by the Kinetics Knights
Robotic team. (Liz Small photo)
Hats off to a job well done
Lavis crew members celebrated the almost completed project of Kincardine’s Queen St. reconstruction last
Friday. “The Big Dig” project, which broke ground in March, saw infrastructure work updated from Durham
Market Square to Durham St. With most of the paving done, the end is definitely in sight for everyone. Downtown
merchants were especially happy with the completion, just in time for Hometown Christmas. (Liz Small photo)
