The peewees advance to the International Silver Stick finals with a 3-2 win over Listowel at the Davidson Centre this afternoon.
Kincardine, who beat Goderich 1-0 in last night's semi-final, led the entire game.
Payton Dunlop opened the scoring late in the first period, tapping home a pass from Ethan Skinner. Skinner kept the puck in at the blueline and wheeled past the Listowel defence to set up Dunlop for the game's first goal.
Dunlop returned the favour early in the second. Dunlop broke down the left wing and fed a gorgeous pass cross-crease to Skinner, who buried a low one-timer to put the Kinucks ahead 2-0.
However, four minutes later, Listowel's Blake Nichol made a coast-to-coast rush, but was stopped by Kinucks netminder Seamus Small. Keaton Willis then banged home the rebound to make it a one-goal game.
Keegan McLelland scored the eventual game winner two minutes into the third. McLelland, who was named the tournament's most valuable player, walked in over the line and shelfed a wrist shot to put the peewees ahead 3-1.
Listowel added a late goal with 0.8 seconds remaining in the game.
The Legion peewees and the Tim-BR Mart bantams will head to the International finals Jan. 22. Both teams will play in Port Huron.
The peewee final wrapped up the Kincardine Regional Silver Stick for another year.
Earlier in the day, Walkerton claimed the novice "B" championship, while Norwich claimed the novice "C" title. The peewee "C" division was won by Seaforth.
